Long weekends that leave you wanting more…

May and June are the 2 months filled with bank holidays aka days off in Switzerland. What does this mean for working people with kids? 1. That if they are lucky they can catch a few extra hours of sleep, here and there. 2. That they get to run after their kids and at the end of the long weekend they feel more tired than if they had to work. And 3. That no matter of point 1 and 2, they get to have extra family time, that will usually translate into goods memories. I managed all 3 things above (win win) and here is a list of my favourite activities to do in a long weekend:

  1. Have a long breakfast with the family.
  2. Go to the gym and enjoy a long work out. Normally I try to finish in 45 min since I am always in a hurry.
  3. Get together with our friends either for a BBQ or just hang out and catch up.
  4. Stay up late reading or watching something on Netflix. I just finished reading: First come love , by Emily Giffin.
  5. Take a day trip as a family, or if the weather is not that nice, just go for a quick bite to eat in the city or a coffee and cake at our fav coffee shop.
